SIRLOIN STEAK IN CREAM

"Every household is guaranteed to cook "the true and only true" recipe for sirloin steak. Every grandmother, every mum makes the best recipe. How can I as a cook keep up? In our kitchen, we lard the beef with bacon and marinate it. We roast a base of root vegetables, fry the meat on top and then add the home-made stock and simmer - as they say - until tender. When the meat is just right, we mix our sweet and savoury sauce with cream. Add lemon, homemade cranberry jam and a little whipped cream. I know people who can eat this seven times a week. Me too."
